May Newsletter

Editor’s Note:
In the last committee meeting there was a
discussion to modify the newsletter every
second month to a simpler format, while
retaining the usual format every other month.
This is due to the fact that a simpler format
reduces editing time considerably. I would
appreciate any feedback from members
regarding the new format. How can it be
improved? And, is this format acceptable to
the membership in general?
This newsletter is my first attempt at a new
format and I welcome any comments, good,
or indifferent to allow me to gage whether or
not I’m doing the right thing.
Regards,
Matthias

at 7:00pm at the Glenbrook Community Hall.
Below are photos taken during the opening of
the exhibition.
The members exhibition was held last
weekend with the opening night kicking it off
at 7:00pm at the Glenbrook Community Hall.
Below are photos taken during the opening of
the exhibition.
The Hall looked a treat and it was a great
opportunity to mix and mingle with local
artists and art lovers.

In the next newsletter we will have some
more photos of exhibits and exhibitors and
will have information and a preview of the
upcoming life-drawing exhibition.
This will be another highlight on the BMCAC
calendar for 2014.
Other news is that we will be participating in
the Blue Mountains Arts trail with more detail
being provided in the next issue.
If you are interested in participating in a group
exhibition in a prime location please contact
one of our committee members (See last page
of newsletter for
contact details).

Presentation by Joy Myers
Creed at Nepean Art Society
In other news, one of our more established
members gave a presentation on acrylics
and collage art at the Nepean Art Society.
Joy presented techniques on her acrylic and
collage art.
Her presentation was well received which
for anyone familiar with her work is easy to
understand. Joy also had several works at
our members exhibition which were of
exceptional quality and I for one would love
to pick up some of her little tricks and
techniques to improve my own work.

Come to our next Committee
Meeting
The next committee meeting will be on
Thursday 1 May at 7:30 pm. All members are
encouraged to attend with all contributions
always being welcome.
